C/R: 3 critically injured in accident at Twifo Ntafrewaso

At least three people have sustained serious injuries in a near-fatal accident.

The incident happened at Twifo Ntafrewaso on the Twifo Praso to Cape Coast Highway in the Twifu Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region on Sunday evening.

Eyewitnesses toldKasapa News Yaw Boagyan that Toyota Hiace with a registration number; GW 7027-21 which was heading to Cape Coast made a wrong overtaking resulting in a collision with a taxi with registration number; CR 624-20 which was also coming from Cape Coast direction to Twifo Praso.

As a result, all the three passengers who were on board the taxi including the driver, Awudu Adamu, 32 years, sustained severe injuries.

The Twifo Atti-morkwa District Police Command and the the Twifo Praso Ghana National Fire Service swiftly responded and rescued the victims when they were notified of the accident.

They are currently receiving intensive medical care at the Twifo Praso Government Hospital.

Meanwhile, the case has been reported to the police for investigation.

The driver and the passenger of the Toyota minibus who sustained minor injuries are receiving treatment at the same hospital. kasapafm
