C/R: 2-year-old baby rescued from suspected ritualists

A 2-year-old baby boy has been rescued from being killed for a ritual purposes at Senya Bereku in the Awutu Senya District of the Central region.

The recue was carried out by Police Officers and a Hunter in a forest.

The disabled baby was kept in an Earthen ware full of food meant for rituals (3to) with a gun powder surrounding him.

In an interview with BoadiNews.com the Awutu Senya West District Unit Social welfare officer, Benjamin Narh Majanor revealed that, Police officers at Senya Bereku have handed over the baby to the unit.

Throwing more light on the discovery and the rescuing of the baby, he highlighted some substances and food that was surrounding the baby including a gun  powder.

Benjamin Narh Majanor says, all indications shows that, they wanted to killed the disabled child for ritual purposes.

He said the boy has been sent to undisclosed Orphanage Home for protection while investigations ongoing.

Benjamin Narh Majanor assured of assisting the police to fish out the perpertrators.

Meanwhile, on Solar FM’s Morning Show, dubbed ATUMPAN, a reporter called Partrick, told the host of the program, Odiasempa Kofi Boadi that the police is yet to make any arrest.
